Dr. JOSEPH MOORE, PHD, LSCW
Joseph G. Moore, Ph.D., LCSW has worked in the field of Child Welfare for over forty years. Dr. Moore has worked in both the private and public sectors in the New York metropolitan area. As a staff member of the Child Welfare League of America, he consulted with multi-service agencies across the United States. His particular interests lie in the area of adolescence and groups. After 9/11, Dr. Moore volunteered with families and survivors at the Family Assistance Center (Pier 94) and with the recovery workers at St. Paul’s Chapel in Lower Manhattan. Dr. Moore received his master’s degree in social work at Columbia University (1970) and his doctorate at Fordham University (1988). He has been an adjunct professor at Rutgers, Fordham, Adelphi and Lehman Universities. For the 20 years, Dr. Moore has had a private therapy practice concentrating on adults who were abused as children. He is now President of the Board of the Analytical Psychology Club of New York.
